The Roots of My Tree of Life

In this non-linear journey of life, every encounter forms a root in our foundation of experience.
The display stand of my handmade flower art is essentially a visual representation of My Tree of Life. The roots are of varied thickness and length, symbolising the duration those experiences have been a part of my life. This shows that each and every encounter or person in our lives, plays a part in our journey and who we slowly develop into as time passes. Many of them may not be in our lives anymore, but they are still an important part of our foundation.​
Just as how the journey of life is non-linear, similarly, we should try to not impose the same, rigid scenarios or framework on those around us.

The societal hierarchy of values will not suit every human being.​ The best case scenario for one person, may present a dangerously precarious position for another. On the other hand, the quiet, often unseen, strength of just showing up as our true selves, even when we are expected to hide our emotions, is very admirable and should be celebrated, supported and encouraged.
