May Ling Chen is the artist behind Petals by You, an artisanal botanical studio in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

She began her artistic journey in 2018, focusing primarily on educating her students, both locally and online, in the art of handmade flowers.

Her practice has gradually evolved over the years to include the expressive use of colours on painted canvas. These canvases often act as natural extensions of her 3D botanical work to present a raw visual representation of her reflections. 

The botanical pieces that she creates is not just a flower, but it represents bits and pieces of her life, much like pages in her journal, often reflective and deeply personal.
